A time I chose to do what I needed to do over a time when I wanted to something was sadly the final game of the Warriors 2025-2026 season. Play-ins vs the Suns was our last chance to get into the finals and I would die for this team if I have to, the eagles are obviously a team of mine but the warriors are my one true team. I had to go in and pickup a prescription for my mom, she was sick at the time and was unable to do so herself, I did not complain or wine and even though I missed the entire 2 hour game because of lines and traffic I still do not feel bad, warriors lost the game but I was able to help my mother.

Oct 15 Any time at my mothers house when we had guests come over I would prepare a simple tomato and mozzarella plate covered in balsamic and cracked pepper. I had always wanted to help with cooking even as a kid so I had made these plates for years. You always serve with bread and if they want it on toast I would prepare it. One day we had some picky guests and I gave same balsamic dressing instead of glaze because my mom told me too. When they arrived and started snacking the husband of my moms friend ( they were our guests ) decided to take the tomatoes and bread and cheese along with some meat my mom kept seperate on a charcuterie board, non Italian meats, and made a big gross sandwich and ruined both boards. He's now an ex-husband.

 Oct 20 One of my memories with food is when my grandfather taught me how to grill for the first time. This was at a point in my life where I was obsessed with making new food and learning how to cook. He taught me how to make hot dogs, burgers, steak, grilled chicken, baked beans, and collard greens all in the same day. We got up early and went to bed late doing nothing but cook for the family reunion coming on the next day. This stuck with me not only because of what I learned but also the laughs and conversations we shared. I love my grandfather and everything he stands for so this stuck with me.

 Sep 29 One conversation I had that changed me was my conversation with family about getting my life together and in shape. My grades had been slipping as well as my health and sleep. I was at a low point in my life that I needed my family to help lift me out of with a brief talk with each of my grandparents and parents.
